Differing Takes on Dog Clothes

A Daily Mail reporter has written an article titled “Dog Owners who Dress Up their Pets Could Face Prosecution”. It sounded funny on first look but it turned out to be a serious article about the RSPCA threatening legal action against dog owners who ‘over-dress’ their pets. The RSPCA is the leading UK animal welfare charity. The article continues to claim that putting on stylish dog clothes, boots and hoodies can be harmful to the animals. Since they put the pet’s welfare at risk, they should be prosecuted.

This makes me wonder what designers and retailers of dog clothes have to say about this. From their point of view, pet clothes actually make the dog more comfortable by providing warmth when they need it. I wonder if pet clothes can make pets feel better emotionally. Does it make a difference to her if she wears a ballerina tutu or an honest to goodness dog sweater? Let us face it. Dressing up the pet is really for the satisfaction of the owner. I guess the answer is in observing moderation. Pet clothes should be chosen based on their comfort ability; avoid clothes that can be constricting and prickly.

Our well-loved pooches do have their shiny coats to protect them from the weather and keep them warm. But sometimes, there are days when it can be extremely cold for us and our pets as well. These times can be harmful for your pets, as they need to maintain a certain level of temperature or else they will suffer the consequences of these weather conditions. We cannot simply rely on their coats to keep them warm.

To protect your pets from the weather, it is a great idea to give them a dog jacket. These things are handy to have so you can get your pets to fight out the extreme temperatures. This is great for when you need to get out of the house and would want to bring your dog with you. We all wear our coats and jackets whenever we step out of the house. During those extremely cold weathers, we would want to get as much warmth as possible. The cold weather can sometimes be too uncomfortable for us, sending us shivers and those teeth clattering episodes unless we get ourselves warm. Extreme temperatures can actually be fatal for us, and the last thing we need is to suffer from something we think is as simple as a change in weather. For these times, we would need to put on extra clothing to keep us warm.

The same goes when it comes to our pets. We would also need to keep them protected from these extreme temperatures. After all, they are living creatures too. Keeping them warm with a sherpa dog jacket is something that makes sense. You can be sure that your pet will not have to suffer from the cold temperature. What a great way to keep your pets warm. I own a toy dog and it really is the cutest pet ever. Her name is Trixie and she goes with me wherever I go. She can easily fit inside my bag which I specifically bought in order to carry her around. She is also very playful and loves playing with me whenever she gets bored. I can say that she is really the best pet one can have.

Because of that, I always make sure that she is always well taken care of. I buy her the best dog food and I even buy her clothes. She has numerous dog t-shirts in different colors and designs too. She truly deserves all the best I can give!
