Birthday Blues

One of the things I gave my girlfriend for our anniversary is this cute little puppy which has fully grown at this point in time. My girlfriend and I tend to spoil the pet a lot, and treat him as if he was our own son. I love dogs a lot which is why I was really happy when my girlfriend also love these creatures. Our dog lives with my girlfriend but I borrow him too every now and then.

Since his birthday is coming up, the day I got my girlfriend the dog, I got him a few presents to make use of. One of the things I was able to get is this red dog shirt which I saw on the internet. My girlfriend loves red, and I am sure this would be perfect should she prefer to match he clothes with that of our dog. That would be such a cute sight to see.

As part of PETA’s efforts against animal abuse, the local chapter in the area has decided to hold a charity benefit which will feature the community’s well-known and distinguished individuals to strut the catwalk along with their pet dogs. The proceeds of the charity will help to increase the awareness of other people regarding animal cruelty and finally put a stop to this concern.

As one of the people invited to be a model for the show, I instantly got excited not only for me but for my dog as well. I got some doggie booties to match this dress I have just recently purchased for my pet. At least my pet and I will be part of the group willing to offer ourselves to help and save potential pets in the area which are being mishandled.

Getting a Gift

My boyfriend happens to be one of the sweetest guys ever. He would always be the one who is thoughtful enough to give me surprises when I least expect them. He treats my family with utmost respect and would even accompany me to hang out with my friends. Apart from that, I love the fact that he spoils my dog even though he is not a big fan of animals.

Just the other day he came over to my apartment with a Snoozer Luxury Cozy Cave for my pet. I was surprised when he had the same, since I have been eyeing to get that item for my pet dog. He must have read my mind, and my pet could not be any happier to have the new furniture piece that is all his own. My boyfriend surely knows how to hit the right buttons to win me over.

One of my biggest vices happens to be shopping. I do not drink or smoke or even take drugs, but when it comes to shopping, I must say that I tend to spend a huge amount of my earnings for clothes and accessories. I would normally be the first person up even late at night to watch the latest releases of fashion houses. My closet houses some of the best finds any typical woman would get envious of.

The same goes when it comes to my pet as well. I always make it a point that I get to buy her anything nice on the internet while I browse for my own clothes or accessories. Just last week I got her this cute dog boots online. This way, both of us would be able to get out of the house looking our best with the best clothes, shoes and jewelry this side of town.

Birthday Blues

I am really sad that I would not be present to celebrate my pet dog’s birthday this year. I have been assigned to work for a number of months in Atlanta, so I am left with having to leave my pet with my ever supportive boyfriend. Despite knowing that he is in good hands, I cannot help but hope that I am there for his birthday. After all, he has always been there for me during those moments when no one else was there in time of need.

Since I would be far away from home, I decided to send him some of my love to make him know that I am thinking of him. I chanced upon some cute dog apparel from the internet which I knew would perfectly match his perky personality. At least he would look absolutely great in these outfits. I am hoping that I would get to dress him up real great by the time I come home and celebrate my homecoming with him and my boyfriend.

When the temperature suddenly rises, we would usually be left with having to wear clothes which can keep us cool and refrain us from breaking a sweat. This is important since not only are we uncomfortable, we would also be dehydrated if we would be sweating way too much. It is crucial for us to be able to handle the intense heat of the sun.

The same goes when it comes to our pets. The hot sun can really get to them, and they would also need to cool off in order to fight the increasing temperature levels. A dog cool pad works perfectly during these occasions to keep the dog comfortable and feeling fresh during hot days. This way, both the pet and the pet owner can manage to survive it out no matter how high the temperature rises.

The Vet Told Me So

For a first time dog owner like me, I rely heavily on what my veterinarian tells me to do in order to take better care of my pet. I have always wanted my own dog, but since both my father and brother are allergic to fur, I had to wait to move out of the house before I was able to enjoy having my very own pet. I must say though that the long wait was definitely worth it.

I would normally visit my vet in order to have my dog regularly checked. He also gives me tips on how to properly care for my dog. Last week he told me to get some healthy dog chews to ensure that my pet would have great oral health. These small things can truly make a huge difference to my pet’s overall condition.

Getting Out

In Chicago, one of the things I have absolutely hated is the fact that it would always rain whenever I have no umbrella with me. This can be quite a hassle especially when I would take a really long time in order to fix my hair only to get wet once I step out of the house. I have not really grown quite used to the weather here, especially since I grew up in California.

Whenever I get out of the house with my pet, I make it a point that I also have a dog rain coat for him. This way, I can make sure that he gets to be protected at all times. He would usually end up looking pretty messy and dirty after having him to come with me when I run a few errands. Whether I like it or not, I now have a coat for myself and my dog which tends to bulk up in my bag.

New Baby

One of my friends asked me if I can take care of his pet dog for a few weeks. He will be leaving the country for an assignment and would need someone he can trust to take good care of his pet. Since I always hang out in his house his dog knows me pretty much. I was the perfect person for the job and I had no choice but to agree.

He has been gone for a few weeks, and I must say I have grown quite attached to his pet. I even got the dog some dog hoodies and other accessories which I would get him to wear whenever I take him for walks. I am sure that I will have a difficult time returning him back when my friend comes back. It is probably high time for me to get my own pet this time.
